Kitchens, primary baths, and whole-home renovations — one contract, one crew, and one person answering for the schedule.

Talk through a remodel

Most people who call us aren't trying to move.

They like the street, the trees, the schools. They've just stopped liking the kitchen. Harrison Building Co takes the house apart carefully and puts it back the way it should have been built in the first place.

We're a family-run general contractor working out of Roanoke, and we remodel homes across Tarrant County and Denton County — Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, Colleyville, Northlake, Argyle, Trophy Club, Flower Mound — as well as Wise County.

What we remodel

  • Kitchens — cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, appliance fit, lighting design, and the electrical and plumbing behind all of it
  • Primary bathrooms — wet rooms, freestanding tubs, curbless showers, heated floors, custom vanities
  • Guest baths and powder rooms — the fast-turnaround projects that make the rest of the house feel finished
  • Whole-home renovations — floor plan changes, structural wall removal, new flooring and trim throughout, full repaint
  • Laundry, mudrooms, bars, and built-ins — the millwork that makes a house actually work for a family

Why a general contractor instead of a handyman

A remodel that touches structure, electrical, plumbing, or gas isn't a handyman job — it's a permitted construction project with inspections attached. We carry the permit, sequence the trades so nobody's waiting on anybody, and stand behind the work afterward. When something gets opened up and it isn't what anyone expected, you get a change order with a number on it, not a shrug.

Common questions

Remodeling, answered.

The questions we get at almost every walkthrough.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A standard kitchen runs 8–12 weeks from demo to punch list, assuming selections are made before we start. Cabinetry lead time is usually what sets the schedule — 6–10 weeks on semi-custom, longer on full custom. We order cabinets before demo day so the job isn't sitting open waiting on a truck.
Can we live in the house during the remodel?
For a single kitchen or bath, usually yes — we build a dust barrier and keep a path clear. For a whole-home renovation with the HVAC or plumbing opened up, most families move out for at least part of it. We'll tell you honestly which one yours is at the walkthrough, not after you've signed.
Do you handle design and selections, or do we need a designer?
Both work. We have designers we bring in when a project needs one, and plenty of clients arrive with their own or with a folder of what they want. Either way we set allowances so the selections and the budget stay attached to each other.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes. Structural changes, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work all get permitted and inspected. Every city in our area does it slightly differently, and we handle that coordination as part of the job.
What does a remodel cost in this area?
It depends on scope and finish level more than square footage, so we won't publish a number that turns out to be wrong for you. What we will do is give you a real range at the walkthrough — before anyone pays for drawings — and a line-item fixed proposal before work starts.
